Recipes
Good food is one life’s greatest pleasures. We love to cook, and and share food with others. We haven’t gotten a chance to post any of our original creations yet. But, in the mean time check out a few our favorites on other sites.
“Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for it is now that God favors what you do.”
— King Solomon, Ecclesiastes 9:7
Appetizers
- Bonnie’s Fruit Dip — A great AllRecipes.com recipe that we’ve made several times. Fabulous with fruit for an appetizer or dessert.
- Sam’s Fire Roasted Salsa — Our friends Sam and Wendi are great cooks, and we steal ideas from them all the time. This is the best salsa ever.
- Peruvian Guacamole — We love Guacamole and this is the best recipe we’ve found. It uses the juice of a orange for a unique twist.
Main Courses
- Sam’s Cowboy Steak — Our favorite way to grill a steak at home. Done right, it can rival the best steak you can get in a restaurant.
- Herb-Crusted Grilled Salmon — Again from Sam and Wendi… It’s quick, delicious, and healthy. We use this recipe almost everytime we have salmon.
- Sweet Curry Chicken — We found this recipe in a Cooking Light book we bought. It was our first Asian food to cook at home, it it’s yum-um-my.
- Honey and Spiced Glazed Pork Chops — We found this on the Cooking Light website. Delicious and very easy to make. Everyone wants seconds.
- Grilled Mahi Mahi Fillets and Asparagus with Orange and Sesame — Just like it sounds. Mmmmm…
Desserts
- Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting — We found this recipe on AllRecipes.com a couple of years ago and it has become a family favorite. We usually leave out the nuts, but it’s otherwise the best carrot cake we’ve ever had. (Works best if you half the vegetable oil, and double the cinnamon.)
- Chocolate Kahlua Cheesecake — The title says it all. Rich and chocolaty, this one’s always a hit. Found this one a few years ago on Recipe Source.
- Crème Brule - We just recently found this recipe for one of our favorite desserts. It’s pretty simple and an absolute treat.
- Roll and Cut Sugar Cookies - The best sugar cookies ever. Great for decorating at Christmas or Easter, or just eating anytime.
- Simple Cobbler - The recipe says Blackberry, but substitute in your fruit of choice.
Enjoy!
